We meet on the first Saturday in the month in Stoke Albany Village Hall, Leicestershire, LE16 8PL unless otherwise stated. There is a £5 charge to cover the hall rental. Please bring a plate of food for a shared lunch.

Jan 2nd - Inspiration Day 10am-4pm
Feb 6th - Inspiration Day 10am-4pm. Sally has agreed to bring some of her weaving kit and will talk about basic things such as twill and plain weaves, making warps etc. She will try to answer questions but claims no profound knowledge as is just an enthusiastic beginner. Pam has a four shaft loom already threaded up so will bring it for people to play on too.
March 6th - Inspiration Day 10am –4pm to include a demonstration by Val Bryant on “Dressing a Distaff”. Val and David are visiting from Cheshire this month and will no doubt increase our knowledge enormously as usual
April 10th - Inspiration Day 10am-4pm
May1st - Inspiration Day 10am-4pm with “Felting” demonstration by Jenny Lees & Pat Screaton
June 5th - Inspiration Day 10am-4pm
July 3rd - Inspiration Day 10am-4pm
Aug 7th - Inspiration Day 10am-4pm
Sept 4th - Annual General Meeting 11am (coffee from 10.30am),followed by shared lunch. After lunch there will be a visit to Uppingham Yarns. Meeting will be at Wilbarston Village Hall NOT Stoke Albany
Oct 2nd - Inspiration Day 10am-4pm with demonstration of “Braiding” by Christine Wright
Nov 6th - “Celebration of Spinning” 10am-4pm
Dec 4th - Inspiration Day 10am-4pm

Inspiration Days are an opportunity to encourage and support long draw spinning, to seek advice and share experiences. A typical day would include a short business meeting; an advice clinic; a workshop on a pre-agreed subject; a talking table to show and explain your latest project: a shared lunch and a spin-in.
