We meet on the first Saturday in the month in Stoke Albany Village Hall, Leicestershire, LE16 8PL unless otherwise stated. There is a £5 charge to cover the hall rental. Please bring a plate of food for a shared lunch.

Feb 5th - Inspiration Day 10am-4pm. Q&A’s “Knitting with hand spun yarns” Guild members bring their own work to talk about

July 23th-24th The very first Fibre-East is happening at Scald End Farm, Thurleigh, Bedfordshire, perfect for those not able to get north to Woolfest or west to Wonderwool Wales! The programme and marketplace are looking great, check them out at www.fibre-east.co.uk


Aug 6th - Fleeces “Bring & Buy” with Table Top Sales & Inspiration Day 10am-4pm at Wilbaston Village Hall, Northants. There will be an inspection table to help select and identify fleeces, which should be labelled with name, address, and sheep details to make them traceable. We hope to include a second hand equipment stall, GOLDS themed tombola, produce and cakes stall and of course refreshments. Stalls can be pre-booked. This is our event of the year!

Sept 25th/26th - Masham Sheep Fair - Ripon, Yorks


Oct 1st - Inspiration Day 10am-4pm with demonstration of “Braiding” by Christine Wright


Nov 6th - “Celebration of Spinning” 10am-4pm – details later


Dec 4th - Christmas Inspiration Day 10am-4pm

Inspiration Days are an opportunity to encourage and support long draw spinning, to seek advice and share experiences. A typical day would include a short business meeting; an advice clinic; a workshop on a pre-agreed subject; a talking table to show and explain your latest project: a shared lunch and a spin-in.
