Welcome to the Guild of Long Draw Spinners for busy people who want to spin beautiful yarn.

Our purpose is to encourage and support the skill of long draw spinning and associated activities. No previous experience necessary - but enthusiasm is essential!

We are a non-profit making organisation, willing to teach long draw spinning to anyone who is able to attend our regular monthly meetings which are held in Leicestershire. We also attend “woolly” gatherings around the country to share our skills.

3rd March Inspiration Day - followed at 2pm by Linzi Mason of the Alpaca Spinner talking about Drop Spindle Spinning. She will bring some more unusual spindles and all materials needed for a “Have a Go” session. You can bring your own spindles and fibres if you would like to. About 11/2 hours.
